Alumni Board is accepting nominations for new Board Directors
(March 23, 2014) - The Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the Board of Directors. Any former Armstrong student may be nominated by any Armstrong alumna/us, student, faculty or staff member. (Self-nominations are not accepted.)
The Alumni Board represents all of Armstrong's former students and serves in an advisory capacity for the Director of Alumni Development, Vice President for Advancement and President of Armstrong. The Board assists in creating and executing the Alumni Association’s Strategic Plan and oversees the creation and operation of affiliate networks.
Board Members are selected for a three-year term, which may be renewed once. After two consecutive terms, a Board Member must wait at least one year before being eligible for Board service again. Board Members are required to attend three of the four scheduled Board meetings. Each Member must serve on at least one Alumni Council and one Alumni Committee each year. Members are expected to complete a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service, including Committee, Council, and Board meetings, during each Board Year. Members are also required to maintain Active Alumni status throughout their Board service--this means they have made a charitable contribution of at least $35 to the Armstrong Foundation during each 12-month period.
