Scholarships


Parkersburg Garden Club Scholarship

The Biology Department has a scholarship of $1,000 available to students who have an interest in the study of botany and/or horticulture. This is made possible through the generous support of the Parkersburg Garden Club. The requirements are: a grade point average of 2.8 or greater, completion of BIOL 2020, and demonstrated interest in plant biology. Preference is given to students with proven financial need. The scholarships are awarded annually.  Students that are interested in the Parkersburg Garden Club Scholarship should contact Biology@arnstrong.edu.  Past Recipients:

Leslie B. Davenport Award

Dr. Davenport served as the head of the Biology Department for many years and this award is bestowed in his honor to a biology major who demonstrates academic excellence.  This award is presented to a student who completes the majority of the undergraduate degree at Armstrong and has maintained the highest GPA.  Past recipients:
