About the Certificate in Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Mammography
Format: Online Program
This is a post-baccalaureate certificate program designed to prepare radiographers, nuclear medicine technologists and radiation therapy technologists for advanced practice in either computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging or mammography.
The ultimate in convenience and professionalism, this certificate program at Armstrong offers all of the didactic courses online. These certificate programs offer an additional skill set to radiologic technologists who desire to improve their marketability in the workplace. All clinical education courses can be conducted at sites close to where the students live. However, students who are outside of Savannah will be responsible for identifying potential clinical education sites in their area. All clinic sites must be identified at least three months prior to beginning clinical courses and approved prior to beginning clinical rotations.
Alumni from the certificate program work in a variety of institutions, including:
- imaging centers
- cancer treatment centers
- breast centers
- level I trauma centers
