Nancy Wofford

Dr. Wofford began teaching in Armstrong’s DPT program in 2006 as an adjunct instructor and accepted a full time position in 2009. She received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish from Longwood University. Afterwards, Dr. Wofford earned her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Elon University in 2002 and completed her Transitional Doctorate degree from Elon in 2004. She is currently enrolled in a full time PhD program at Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Wofford has extensive outpatient clinical experience in both military and civilian facilities.  She continues to practice regularly at the local military hospitals and PT owned practices. Dr. Wofford is an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and also holds a manual therapy certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. She teaches in the Orthopaedic track in the first and second years of the program.
Dr. Wofford is a member of the Orthopedic and Sports sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. She organizes a monthly orthopaedic journal club for local clinicians and students with diverse orthopaedic and sports topics.

Research interests for Dr. Wofford include topics related to injury prevention, along with, diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic conditions.
