Important Advisement Information

When a student enters Armstrong Atlantic State University as a pre-nursing major, a general academic advisement is recommended to make sure the student is on the right track for the nursing program of study.  

Academic advisement is provided to all undergraduate, graduate, RN to BSN, LPN and MSN students as well as those interested in pursuing or changing to a nursing career.  

Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:15 am to 5:00 pm.  

• LPN's are to be advised by Mrs. Linda Tuck.  Please contact her at Linda.Tuck@armstrong.edu
• MSN's are to be advised by Dr. Anita Nivens.  Please contact her at Anita.Nivens@armstrong.edu
• RN Options (already an RN seeking a degree) are to be advised by Mrs. Marilyn O'Mallon.  Please contact her at Marilyn.OMallon@armstrong.edu

To provide additional support for students, the Department of Nursing faculty are designated as  Advisors.  Pre-nursing majors may seek both academic and non-academic assistance from this resource.

Advisement is a University rule and highly recommended by the Department of Nursing to keep pre-nursing students aware of the courses and grades while on track towards their goal of application into the department.  The Department of Nursing offers applications every spring and fall.
