Dr. Greg Wimer

Dr. Greg Wimer is a  Professor in the Department of Secondary, Adult and Physical Education at Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in exercise physiology from Ohio State University and the University of South Carolina, respectively, and his B.S. in Biology from the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Wimer’s research interests include the impact of fluid replenishment, ergogenic aids, and obesity on human performance and thermoregulation during exercise in the heat. Dr. Wimer has published 6 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has given 16 presentations at American College of Sports Medicine meetings. Dr. Wimer has been mentoring graduate students in the Sports Medicine program since its inception.
