Online Course Development Process

Armstrong State University has developed an Online Course Development (OCD) Process to assist faculty with ensuring that fully online and partially online courses are in alignment with the United States Department of Education, Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS), and the Program Integrity Rules in support of quality design principles. New and updated federal regulations and accreditation are critically linked to Federal Student Aid which includes Title IV funding for student loans, aid, etc. Beginning October 2012, all fully online and partially online courses must be reviewed by the Online Course Review (OCR) Subcommittee, which operates as part of the Educational Technology Committee. Workshops are offered to faculty on the OCD Process.
