Learning Support Advisement
Summer 2013 advisement for all currently enrolled Learning Support students takes place January 24th through March 25th. Students must schedule a specific appointment time from those published on the sign-in sheets at the front desk on the second floor of Victor Hall.
Every new student is encouraged to take advantage of Navigate Orientation! On orientation day the student will have the opportunity to be advised and registered by Learning Support advisors. You can sign up for orientation once you have been accepted. Please follow the link above to find out more about Navigate Orientation. New students may also register during regular registration. However, Navigate Orientation is the preferred choice as it is exclusively for new students.
All students must go through academic advisement with an advisor from their program before they can register. All students who are placed by the COMPASS Assessment into the Academic Assistance Program must be advised by Mrs. Lottie Scott or Learning Support faculty before registering for any courses, including non-Learning Support courses. Advisement prior to the dates of registration is recommended for both new and currently-enrolled students, though the student may still be advised on registration day.
Learning Support Advisement is based on the University System of Georgia requirements. Note that during each semester of enrollment (including Summer term), a student must first be registered for all required LS courses before being allowed to register for other courses.
If you are a returning Learning Support student, please call or visit to schedule an appointment for Advanced Advisement with Mrs. Scott. If you are a new student required to take Learning Support courses, please contact Mrs. Scott at 912.344.3284 for an appointment to be advised, which may be scheduled individually or for the day of Navigate Orientation.
