AARP Sixth Annual Women's Scholarship Program
The program provides funds to low-income women age 50 and older who are seeking new job skills, training, and educational opportunities to support themselves and their families. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be a U.S. citizen and be able to demonstrate financial need. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000.
Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program
The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered at an accredited post secondary institution. The application deadline is June 14, 2013.
AES Engineers Scholarship
This scholarship is an essay contest and the award is $500. The deadline to apply is October 4, 2013.

American Legion
The American Legion offers a number of scholarships and other resources to assist young people in their pursuit of higher education. There are opportunities for everyone, including kin of wartime veterans and participants in Legion programs.
AMVETS National Service Foundation
AMVETS annually awards scholarships to veterans/active military, their sons, daughters or grandchildren. A son, daughter or grandchild of a deceased veteran is also eligible. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and financial need, the scholarships go to deserving high school seniors, high school JROTC students and veterans pursuing a higher education.
Army Emergency Relief Spouse and Children Scholarship Program![]()
This program provides three separate scholarships for the spouses and dependent children of active or retired Army Soldiers. Scholarship awards are based on financial need, as evidenced by income, family size and special circumstances.
Army Nurse Corps Memorial Scholarship Program
The Army Nurse corps Association (ANCA) is a scholarship program for baccalaureate or higher degree nursing students. In 2013, ANCA will be selecting up to 15 students to receive $3,000 scholarships. For 2013, the scholarships will be presented in memory of Captain Bruce K. Clark, a member of the United States Army Nurse Corps who, in May 2012, gave his life for his country during his deployment to Afghanistan. He was a graduate of The College of Brockport State University of New York and served previous assignments at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI and William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX.
The Aspiring Police Officer Scholarship
This $100 scholarship is open to any student who is pursuing a career in law enforcement. To apply the student needs to fill out the application and submit a 200 word response to the essay question; "Why do you want go into law enforcement?" The deadline to apply is August 1.
Atlanta Dental Spa Scholarship
The program provides a $1000 scholarship annually based on merit of a personal essay.
Campus Explorer Exclusive Scholarships
This scholarship is a monthly $1,000 giveaway, designed to help students pay for their higher-education expenses. Every month, Campus Explorer will announce a new scholarship and a new way to win. A winner will be randomly selected from the entrants.

Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union
Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who will be attending an accredited college, university or technical school within six months of receiving notification of the scholarship award and a $1,000 continuing education scholarship to a student currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or technical school. Applicants must be members of the credit union.
The Georgia Woman of the Year Committee, Inc
Offering a $1000 scholarship for women currently attending Georgia colleges and universities. Nominations for the scholarships may be made by a faculty member in any college, university or technical college in Georgia. A letter describing the assessment of the nominee's qualifications, with any supporting information, should be e-mailed to gawomanoftheyear@gmail.com or mailed to the Georgia Woman of the Year Committee's scholarship committee, by Thursday, August 1, 2013.

Ty Cobb Scholarship Program
Awards scholarships to undergraduate students who are residents of the State of Georgia, have demonstrated financial need, and have completed at least 30 semester hours of academic credit with an average of "B" or higher. Students with higher academic averages and the greatest need will be given priority. A completed application form including the specific circumstances which cause you to request financial assistance and a copy of your tax return, a letter of recommendation from your academic dean or advisor and official transcripts of all college studies including spring semester grades must be post marked by June 15.
