Syncing Mobile Devices with Student Google Accounts

Before you can sign into your student email account with your mobile device, you will need to reset your password. This step is required because it ensures that your Port account password is synced up with your Google account. Reset your password using a desktop or laptop computer at https://port-apps.armstrong.edu/resetpwd.php

If you receive an error stating "Information you entered did not match our records," please ensure that you are using a desktop or laptop computer.  The reset password script may not work properly from your mobile device.

After resetting your password, follow these steps to disable forwarding and enable IMAP:

  1. Sign into your Port account from a desktop or laptop computer.
  2. On the Home tab, select Open Mail from the Student Mail portlet.
  3. Click the gear icon at the top right, then Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  4. Select the radio button to Disable forwarding.
  5. Select the radio button to Enable IMAP.
  6. Click Save Changes.

After disabling forwarding and enabling IMAP, please follow the instructions for your mobile device below.
