What is COMPASS?
COMPASS is a Wireless Network available for students. "COMPASS" was created on Armstrong's campus to make it easier than ever to connect to a convenient and secure wireless network. This network uses WPA2-PSK (WPA2-Personal) security for encryption of network traffic. When prompted for the network's key or passphrase, enter:

After connecting to this network, open your web browser to enter your Pirates' Cove/Port of Armstrong user name and password on the login page. Using the "COMPASS" wireless network provides an easier and convenient way to connect to a secure wireless network.
What is AASU_FACULTY_WLAN?
AASU_FACULTY_WLAN is available for faculty and staff. Your Pirates' Cove/Port of Armstrong username and password information is needed to access AASU_FACULTY_WLAN; computers with Windows XP/Vista/7 require the SecureW2 TTLS client. In addition to the internet, other campus resources are available through the AASU_FACULTY_WLAN, which use WPA2-Enterprise encryption and authentication for greater security.
What do I need on my laptop to access the campus wireless signal?
Wireless usage on Armstrong's campus requires at least Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Mac OS 10.4. Your Pirates' Cove/ Port of Armstrong username and password information is also needed.
FACULTY & STAFF: To access AASU_FACULTY_WLAN, computers with Windows XP/Vista/7 require the SecureW2 TTLS client.
Do I need to install a client to use COMPASS?
No. To access the internet only, you can use the "COMPASS" connection that does not require a client install.
