Electronic Service Policy

RATIONALE

This policy establishes conditions for Information Technology Services(ITS) Department to provide service for desktop computers, laptop computers, mobile phones, printers, and other electronic peripherals and devices.
 

PROCEDURE REFERENCE

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides direct support for devices that have a valid Armstrong decal. This Armstrong decal contains the following:
 

These decals are placed on most electronic devices and peripherals when they are delivered to ITS and placed into service with end users.

ITS will also provide limited support for students that purchase their laptop at the campus bookstore. The student must present the laptop with an unaltered serial number and their student ID card to receive service and support.

ITS will not provide direct support for most electronic devices and peripherals that do not have this decal. From time to time, ITS may provide configuration or best practice advice to faculty, staff, and students that possess personally owned computers. However, ITS will not receive or directly reconfigure most devices and peripherals without the Armstrong decal.

Most Armstrong site license software is not available for computers without the Armstrong decal. Employees should contact ITS for a list of available software that is available for non decaled equipment.
