The Emergence of Modernism: Art between the Wars. Dr. Jameison, Dr. Primatic, Dr. Warsaw, Dr. Grundstad-Hail; Department of Art, Music and Theater. This collaborative performance will integrate the visual and performing arts of the early twentieth century to explore the emergence of modernism as it is bracketed with the cultural context of the first and second world wars.

“Will Beijing Reconsider its Maritime Strategy in the South China Sea Following the Melting of the Arctic?” Armstrong State University will host a special lecture by Armstrong assistant professor Nalanda Roy. Presented by Armstrong’s Department of Criminal Justice, Social and Political Science, the lecture will focus on China’s quest for natural resources and how the melting of the Arctic may affect its strategy in the South China Sea. This event is free and open to the public.
