Meet the Recruiters

photo of Stephanie Whaley

Hello! My name is Stephanie Whaley, and I have the pleasure of serving as the Director of Admissions at Armstrong. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Brewton-Parker College and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Troy University. I have worked in higher education for more than ten years and have spent the last six years leading the recruiting efforts of new students to Armstrong. As the Director of Admissions, I oversee all aspects of the new student admission process, but the aspect I enjoy the most is working directly with prospective students and their families.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance to you or your family.

Hi! I was born in San Francisco, CA, and grew up in Atlanta, GA. I am a proud graduate of Armstrong, earning a Bachelor of Health Science in 2009. I love everything about Savannah, from the sunny beach to the beautiful historic downtown river walk. Armstrong has been a home away from home. I hope you get to know us better and visit to learn more about what Armstrong has to offer. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Please feel free to let me know if there is something I can help you with.

I graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in French. I began teaching English as a Second Language at Savannah Technical College immediately after graduating and soon became the Assistant International Student Advisor. After about 2 years of teaching and advising part-time, I transitioned into Savannah Tech’s full-time International Student Advisor. In 2009, I accepted my current position as the International Student Advisor at Armstrong Atlantic State University. I thoroughly enjoy working with international students and in the field of international education.
