Students with foreign coursework to transfer
Foreign credits initially transfer as Elective Credit. Armstrong will work to get as many credits updated to core credit as quickly as possible. This process can take approximately 3-6 weeks for credits to reflect in your SHIP account. There is no guarantee that foreign courses can be substituted for core credits.
Applicants who have foreign high school, college, or university coursework, but who do not require an F1 student visa, must submit official transcript evaluations from an approved evaluation agency. Armstrong works primarily with Josef Silny & Associates or WES, but any of the companies listed at the NACES website are accepted.
For high school transcripts, students must submit a document-by-document evaluation with a GPA (grade point average) calculation.
For college and university transcripts, students must submit a course-by-course evaluation.
Students who do not require an F1 visa should complete the regular admissions application.
