Home-schooled Students: Admission Checklist
Accredited High School Program Home-school Graduates
Home-schooled applicants who have graduated from an accredited high school program are asked to submit an official high school transcript and diploma, in addition to the items listed below.

- Application for admission and $25 non-refundable application processing fee.
- Certificate of immunization

Official transcripts from all public/private high school or colleges attended
- Official transcripts (paper): Must be in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution. Transcripts received from the student that are not in a sealed envelope will not be accepted.
- Official transcripts (electronic): Must be received through secure transmission. A document or pdf that is emailed is not considered a secure method of transmission.
- Official SAT or ACT scores (sent to Armstrong from testing agency)
Home study programs accredited or approved by the following are acceptable:
- Accrediting Commission for Independent Study
- Association of Christian Schools International
- Georgia Association of Christian Schools
- Georgia Private School Accrediting Commission
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
- Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools
- New England Association of Schools and Colleges
- North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
- Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities
- Western Association of Schools and Colleges
Non-Accredited High School Program Home-school Graduates
Students who graduate from a non-accredited high school must complete a Home School Admission Packet to be considered for admission to Armstrong. The portfolio includes:
- Copy of Declaration of Intent to Home School, as filed with local Board of Education
- Copy of a National Standardized High School Summation Exam (12th grade level)
- (Example: Iowa TAP, SAT II, California Achievement Test, Stanford Achievement Test)
- Completed College Preparatory Credit Worksheet and Home School Credit Evaluation
- High school coursework will be evaluated for completion of the Collegiate Preparatory Curriculum (16 Units).
- Student and Primary Teacher Certification of completion of high school and date of high school graduation
Note: Per Board of Regents’ policy, home-schooled students must take the SAT I or ACT test and score at or above the average SAT I score of the previous year’s fall semester first-time freshmen class.
