Education Living-Learning Community
in Windward Commons

Join other first-year education students in Windward Commons who are interested in becoming teachers.  The goal of the community is to bring first-year students together with Education faculty and staff members to ease the transition into the Armstrong community and contribute to their success within the College of Education and beyond.  An important component to the community is the opportunity to take EDUC 2110 (Introduction to Education) within the close-knit and supportive environment of the residence hall.  In addition to in-hall and guests speakers, students will have an opportunity to engage in a variety of activities outside the university environment.  These activities help students become more comfortable with the residential and academic aspects of the university in a shorter period of time.

Benefits of the Community

  • Service Learning Opportunities
  • Community Involvement
  • Area Field Trips
  • Special Event Invitations
  • Networking
  • Seminars on resume writing and student success strategies
  • Lasting Memories
